Worst Travel to the Office Ever

Today saw the worst travel to the office of my entire working life. My sister and I left our home in Las Piñas at 8:30 this morning with the sky bright but promising rain. We normally arrive at our offices in Quezon City by 9:30 after passing through Coastal Road, EDSA, Fort Bonifacio, then C-5. The rain started pouring when we were along Coastal Road and what followed was three hours of traffic hell.
Typhoon Egay was a thousand miles away but the monsoon rains it pulled dumped tons of rain this morning. It poured and it poured and seeing that we were still in EDSA-Pasay at 9:30 am, I knew that I would be late to the office. 10:30 we just left Fort Bonifacio and I called HRD to get an emergency leave. A further hour and a half later, we arrived to our business district at around noon. What made it worse was that the FX we were driving had a busted air conditioning system. You can imagine how vastly uncomfortable the trip was.
It would’ve been ironic, had it not been for cause-and-effect, that the trip back home was extremely pleasant in comparison. We got home in less than an hour!
How about you? Have you got any travel stories today to tell?
