New Google Earth Satellite Imagery for October 2007

After a couple of measly updates to the satellite imagery in Google Earth for the Philippines last June and July that only saw Puerto Princesa City and the western shores of Laguna de Bay updated, we now have a lot of new high-resolution satellite pictures all over the Philippines, and around the world, in fact. See Google’s announcement.
I’m still compiling a list of all the new and updated areas in the Philippines and I’ll update this post or create a new one in the future to display my coverage map that last saw an update in February. But anyway, here’s a partial list of places: Batan Island, Batanes; southeastern Benguet; eastern end of Camarines Norte; parts of Caramoan Peninsula, Camarines Sur; swathes of Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate; eastern tip of Biliran; eastern extremities of Bohol (like the eastern half of Lapinin Island); a small part of Southern Leyte; a part of Sarangani Bay; western Cotabato province; and Cuyo Island, Palawan.
Unfortunately, Panay still has no updates.
